Is Free Guy Safe For Kids? Language! (As Cap Says)

There are possibly two big concerns when determining if Free Guy is safe for your kids with this movie, and language may be one of them.

There’s a lot of it.

All the big swears make an appearance, including the F-bomb and multiple uses of G-d d@mn. The music gets into the act as well, so really, you just can’t escape the salty language in Free Guy.

Free Guy Parent Review: Video Game Violence

The whole premise is taking you inside a video game, one of the more violent ones. And it definitely immerses us right into the street fights.

There are many (oh so many!) guns, shootings, fights, knives, explosions, collisions- y’all, there’s so much going on in the background, it’s hard to keep up!

If your family is already playing these types of games, this movie won’t shock you or your kiddos.

The depiction is meant to be over the top with the knowledge that the deaths are occurring in a video game environment, where player’s lives are returned to them almost immediatly.

Themes In Free Guy: Parent Movie Review

There are a surprising number of sweet moments and important themes in Free Guy that you’ll love exposing your kids to.

Overall, if you can get past the language and video game violence, you’ll find an adorable movie with messages about friendship your kids can learn from.

But there are also adult themes and discussions with sexual innuendo running rampant throughout the movie. There are a few kissing scenes, so nothing too overtly sexual, but a sharp-eared kid is likely to have a few questions about some of the lines.

What Ages Can Watch Free Guy?

A lot of parents want to know just what the PG-13 rating for Free Guy is all about.

It’s mostly the language and violence, which if you’ve got a teen playing video games, they are already exposed to.
