Enhancing your security

If you log in to online or mobile banking using a device or browser we don’t recognize, we’ll ask you to take additional steps to authenticate your log in. This multistep process, also known as Multifactor Authentication, ensures that you’re the only person that can access your account, even if someone has your password.

In addition to entering your password when logging in, we’ll also ask you to authenticate your log in by phone or by entering a six-digit security code, which you can choose to receive via email or text message.

Once you’ve successfully logged in, you won’t be prompted to authenticate your log in again on that device, unless you erase the device’s history, use a different browser or you need to change your password for security reasons.

Multifactor Authentication: Bank Two-factor Authentication - Enhanced Technology with MFA Security | Ent (6) Reminder:

One of the keys to multifactor authentication is having accurate contact information for you on file at Ent so you can authenticate your log in. If we don’t have your correct phone number or email, you may not be able to log in to online or mobile banking.

Best Practices For Keeping Your Accounts Safe Online

In addition to the protections Ent has in place, we encourage you to use these best practices to help keep your accounts safe online:

  • Change your passwords frequently
  • Monitor your accounts regularly through online and mobile banking and account alerts, looking out for suspicious activity
  • Keep your apps and devices up-to-date with the most recent system updates
  • Run anti-virus software and make sure your firewall is turned on
  • Avoid unsecured wireless access points – like public WiFi hotspots
  • Avoid clicking on links in unsolicited emails
