My experience at CMIT South wasn’t bad but as you start getting familiar with the people around you, like in your classes, it will place you in a better environment. CMIT South focuses on better their students with their Cumulative GPA, their SAT and testing scores, bettering the environment, rewarding their students with events and privileges, and having a good top school ranking. Overall, CMIT South is a school to make memories in. It’s best to join extra curricular so you can start off with some friends. Make a good first impression and make sure you have some fun because after it’s still your high school experience but make sure you do your work as well.

In 2018 I was in middle school and had just started the 6th grade. During my time in middle school I didn’t part take in any clubs or activities often. But, coming into high school I’ve experienced clubs and even joined the cheer team, as well as the modeling team. My experience with every club has been nothing but filled with memories of laughter with my friends because of the wonderful activities we participate in within the clubs. The cheer team has been a good and bad experience, the bad reason me not making any friends and feeling left out majority of the time. On the other hand, the cheer team helped me build a new confidence I found within myself, and I had lots of fun cheering on the sidelines while watching the basketball games. I’ve just joined modeling this year and I can say it’s been a blast, I’ve made many new friends and always enjoy my time being there. A change I would like to see is more rewards for all the hard work students do.

Chesapeake Math & IT South Public Charter School is wonderful school that focuses on STEM learning throughout middle and high school. As a person who went there since 6th grade and will be graduating as the class of 2025, I love the amazing opportunities I have had along with the memories I have made. If I had the chance to do it all over again I would do it a thousand times.

My overall experience at CMIT South has been fairly good. I haven't had a bad experience but I do believe that the school could be better. For example, I feel we should have more diverse classes and not just focus on STEM. Many of my classmates are interested in classes that involve the arts so I feel the school should make those types of classes available.

My experience at Chesapeake Math and IT South Public Charter has been a remarkable journey. The educational environment at the school is an interdisciplinary approach that strategically integrates math and IT into various subjects, enhancing the overall scholastic experience. The faculty members are not only proficient in their respective disciplines but also exhibit a passion for teaching, which undoubtedly creates an encouraging atmosphere for learning. Furthermore, the school's focus on extracurricular activities and community involvement fosters a well-rounded education, where students can develop essential life skills alongside their academic pursuits. In conclusion, attending Chesapeake Math and IT South Public Charter has proved to be an enriching and multi-dimensional experience.

I was in the first class of students to complete 6-12th grade from start to finish. The best part was the lifelong friendships I cultivated. The worst was the ingrained comparisons between classes/students, lack of resources, and lack of attention to the arts and humanities.

I believe Chesapeake Math and IT South Public Charter School is a good school but I believe there is room for improvement. The school is primarily focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math and It has a good facility and administration. I believe this school could improve in its college readiness programs for Juniors and Seniors because they don't really provide you with a lot of opportunities to prepare for college and apply for scholarships.

It was great as I prefer a smaller learning environment. They are really setting you up for tech and science stuff in the future. Teachers are pretty cool, too, always there to help out if you're stuck on something. But, man, we seriously need more going on outside of classes. Overall, it's a decent place to learn, but adding more fun stuff and sprucing up the place would make it even better.

During my years at CMIT South, I will say that they have been excellent. The environment of the school is extremely safe and there have been little to nun incidents. My favorite program at CMIT South would be the sport program. The sports program is extremely competitive but you also build bonds with people and create life-long friendships as well. Academically, the work teaches you a lot and it does get you ready for major test like SAT, Accuplacer, etc. The teachers and the staff are extremely friendly and they help you whenever you as them as well. They are very respectful and communicates very well.

When I first went to CMIT South I thought it was going to be a great experience from middle school all the way to high school, but sadly that was not the case. The middle school is very rough with there normally being fights, and the boys bathroom stalls always being taken off by students and most of the urinals and toilets being out of order with the students destroying them. On the high school side its way better with minimal fights, and a way better experience than the middle school side. The sports are very minimal with only basketball, soccer, and volleyball, and the soccer field is unacceptable. Overall everything on the high school side is better then the middle school side, and is way safer then your normal high school.

I've been at CMIT South since 8th grade, and over the years much has changed. Teachers have come and gone and their arrival as well as departures have heavily influenced my experience as a student. Some for better, and some for worse.

Going to CMIT has been a great experience while the building itself is lack luster the students and personnel make up for it with great personalities and memorable days. Even a bad day at CMIT isn’t all that bad and while student may complain for the lack of what we have we appreciate the what we’ve gotten in staff(or at least i do).

I have nothing bad to say about the school. I feel pretty neutral when it comes down to the school in general.

It is a great school for those in the Marlboro Maryland area who are looking for a solid academic foundational school for their middle/high school students. There is a lack of sports program funding which is made up for by academics and behavioral requirements and enforcements. It's a pretty good school all things considered.

This school should only be around if you want to punish your child. In this school they speak down on you and show nothing but negativity towards students and staff. They don't care about students' education they just worry about making the school look good. The principle puts school uniform over grades. He states that if you don't have CMIT south logo pants which is all black with the SMALLEST print then you cannot participate in gym which leads to a failing grade. As a student at this school the only thing I learned from this school is school is to hate the school.

It is a decent school with a lack of funding and resources. It severely hinders the students ability to take part in programs and activities that would help advance them.

CMIT is honestly a pretty good school. No school is perfect and it has its cons, but over all the school isn’t all that bad.

Very good school for students interested in Math and IT. The school is small, but there are rarely any fights. You also get to form a more personal connection with teachers since there aren't a lot of students.

Chesapeake Math and IT South Public Charter school is the perfect school for students who want a low-key high school experience. When I say this, I mean that CMIT is a school that is incredibly toned down. It's a relatively small school, with only 88 students in the Class of 2023.
I have been at this school for since 2016 when I first came here during the 6th grade. My personal experience wasn't the best, but the environment the school provided was very loving, thoughtful, and academic.
Once you get to high school, however, let's just say it isn't like the movies. The way CMIT is set up, you are paired with specific cohorts respective to your grade level (i.e. 9th grade is 93 and 94 while 10th grade is 103 and 104). Most high schools pair different people into different classes, but CMIT keeps you with the same people all four years (there are some changes here and there).
This is, for the most part, why CMIT isn't a 5-star school for me; it just needs more diversity.
